Zoho and Zendesk are two prominent software platforms designed to optimize customer service and support operations. However, they cater to different business needs and preferences, so it's essential to understand their differences to make an informed choice that aligns with your specific requirements.

Zoho stands out for its extensive suite of business applications, including CRM, helpdesk, finance, and more. Its strength lies in centralizing multifaceted operations within a unified ecosystem, making it suitable for businesses aiming to streamline various aspects under one roof. Zoho provides a versatile, integrated solution catering to a wide array of business functions. Conversely, Zendesk focuses primarily on customer support and service management. While it can integrate with other software, its core competence revolves around ticketing systems, knowledge base creation, and enhancing customer engagement. One of the key differences between the two solutions is their pricing. Salesforce is the more expensive. While Zoho CRM plans start at $14/month/user, Salesforce starts at $25/month/user. Zoho’s plans max out at $52/month/user for its Ultimate plan. Salesforce’s Unlimited plan is priced at $330/user/month. Zoho also offers a free version with solid CRM features, including contact management, email marketing, sales automation, and more. Ultimately, Salesforce is a premium product. You pay a higher price for it, but you get increased functionality in return.

Zoho and Salesforce’s AI features also diverge. Zoho’s AI work assistant, Zia, is designed to make your CRM more efficient. It can make workflow automation suggestions, run analytics for personalized customer recommendations, and perform data enrichment to find missing lead data. It also suggests basic writing improvements. Zia is only available with Zoho’s top-tier plans. Salesforce’s AI assistant, Einstein, is generative...

Salesforce

CRM software for SMEs

While Zoho and HubSpot’s respective CRMs are popular in their own right, there are some differences between them to consider when choosing the tool for your business. Firstly, if you’re looking for a free CRM, you should closely compare the inclusions in their free versions. Zoho’s free plan is more of a pure CRM product. While it offers some email marketing tools, it mainly focuses on CRM features like sales automation, standard analytics, basic customization, and web forms. Access to Zoho’s free version is limited to 3 users. In comparison, HubSpot’s free version is a CRM suite with access to some basic marketing, service, content management system (CMS), and operational tools. These include landing pages, live chat, sales email templates, ticketing, and list segmentation features. While it offers access to a broad range of inclusions, keep in mind the free version limits the level of functionality for these. HubSpot’s free version is available to unlimited users.

      Simple & Cost-Free: Zoho Review

I find Zoho easy and free to use. I utilize their invoicing tool for sending small bills to clients. Although it can be slightly overcomplicated in some areas, it's simple enough to understand what's happening. Considering it's free, I think it's great.

      Simplifies Social Media Management

I tried managing my social channels manually and it wasn't effective. I also tried other tools but they were cumbersome and too complex for my needs. Then, I found Zohosocial and I'm very pleased with its technology and ease of use. It makes collaboration within my business team easy. Well done!

As a Fresh Entrepreneur: Zoho Review

As a new entrepreneur, I've found Zoho Social to be incredibly helpful in scheduling future posts across multiple platforms. I've been searching for a software like this for a while and even the free version has allowed me to manage my social media channels effectively. What I appreciate about the Zoho Social team is that they offer a 15-day trial period where you can enjoy the full version and schedule posts that will appear on your social media channels even after the trial ends. I've also had interactions with their customer service, who were very friendly and understanding. They were quick to resolve an issue I had with my email address.

This is the most user-friendly platform

I find Zoho to be the easiest platform to use for our social media channels. Initially, I was apprehensive about the learning curve, but after following Zoho's comprehensive video on YouTube, I instantly felt confident using the platform. I believe anyone can use it with ease.

User-friendly but lacks scalability and automation

My overall experience with Zoho Books has been disappointing. I was under the impression that the software could offer more than it actually does. It lacks efficient workflow capabilities and doesn't provide a way to automate repetitive tasks. While it might be suitable for beginners with few sales or a limited budget, it doesn't meet the needs of businesses looking to expand or merge. The software developers can't transfer books from their platform to a new or upgraded version, making it incompatible unless you have additional staff or time to manually import each transaction. The software is user-friendly for basic bookkeeping, but it's not designed for those who want to automate as much of the workflow as possible. It's also not suitable for businesses planning to grow with the software. The connection to the bank account and credit card often fails, forcing me to sync manually. I've reached out to customer service about this issue, but there doesn't seem to be a resolution. When it comes to upgrading from a previous version, the process is not smooth.

      Great App, Terrible Customer Service

The app is good, but the customer support is terrible. Despite having the option to chat with support, they often miss my messages and take days to respond. Once I report an error, they disappear until I send reminders. My friends who use Quickbooks seem to have a more customer-friendly experience. Zoho, you will lose customers if you don't improve your support.

      Experience with Zoho Social

The free version of Zoho offers basic analytics, which, while not providing deep insights, is better than nothing. I believe the free version should include more features, especially the calendar view, which I find extremely useful. I appreciate being able to write posts ahead of time and schedule them, but I strongly feel this feature should also be included in the free version.
