Cons from reviewers
-
Less user-friendly tag creation: The option to create custom tags through survey links is not as intuitive as it could be, making it difficult for users to fully customize their surveys
-
Difficulty sending identified email links without an email tool: Without integrating the survey into an email tool like Intercom or Marketo, sending an identified email link can be cumbersome and often results in the emails being blocked by servers
-
Issues with CRM syncing and minor bugs: Some users have reported problems when trying to sync Survicate with their CRM, as well as encountering a few minor software bugs
-
Backend can be slow: Despite its user-friendly interface and attractive widget design, Survicate's backend can sometimes lag, affecting the overall user experience
-
Delay between launching or editing a survey and its appearance on the website: This delay can make testing and changes difficult, as users have to wait for the survey to appear on the website before they can see the effects of their edits.

Beneficial to Include Survicate in Your Toolkit
I believe that Survicate disproves the idea that surveys are outdated and hard to manage. I've created many surveys with my clients on this platform and we've always been very satisfied with the whole process. However, I would recommend a change in the pricing. While Survicate provides a decent free option, it's not enough and the jump to the next pricing level is quite substantial.

Excellent Survey Solution for Comprehensive Data Capture
Overall, I had a fantastic experience with Survicate. I would recommend diving in and exploring the numerous features and possibilities it offers, as they are well-structured. I valued the suggestions provided and the ability to edit from a template, as well as the option to download results with the paid version. The free version also offers a lot of value. I found most integrations, especially with Intercom, to be straightforward and appreciated the simplicity of creating surveys, either from scratch or using a template. It's also very easy to ensure unbiased questions and there are excellent data capture options. However, I did find it frustrating to send a single link that collects identified information without using an email tool. Without integrating the survey into Intercom, Marketo, or another email tool, sending an identified email link can be cumbersome. We often have those emails blocked by email servers, so being able to send a link individually is important.

One Year On: Reflecting on Survicate
I appreciate the responsiveness of Survicate's support and the ease of use in designing surveys. However, I initially faced issues with syncing the software with our CRM and encountered a few minor bugs. The vendor responded positively to my feedback, stating that Survicate integrates with 19 tools, including CRM and Martech tools, and over 3000 other platforms via Zapier. They also offered to explore the possibility of integrating my specific CRM with Survicate if I provided them with its name. They encouraged me to reach out to them for any further assistance.

Transforming Site Visits into Leads with Survicate
We used the Survicate app on a car manufacturer's website. Its intuitive interface allowed us to easily create pop-up scenarios and content, leading to a threefold increase in online leads without any loss in quality. It also improved our understanding of customer insights like demography, purchase intention, and preferences. The app's design is subtle and intelligent, not intrusive for page visitors. It's a cost-effective tool that offers immediate growth in online leads and is a clever tool for various online surveys.

Caution - They Halt Surveys for Respondents!
While conducting a survey, Survicate unexpectedly froze my access, insisting on an upgrade. After upgrading, I had to resend the survey, which was a frustrating and nonsensical process. The software is quite costly, particularly for regular surveys. A thousand responses per month cost 1500 a year at the base rate, which rapidly becomes expensive. I wouldn't recommend Survicate due to these pricing freezes and total shutdowns of active surveys. The sole reason I switched to Survicate was for its integration with Intercom.
