      A Disheartening Waste of Time

      During the sales process, I asked specific questions about Drift's capabilities, particularly regarding integration and usability. Regrettably, the salesperson misrepresented these capabilities, assuring me that everything would function as I anticipated. The absence of a trial should have been a red flag. I found Drift to be costly and was swayed by their polished marketing. Despite the problems and high costs, I chose to proceed with the software and had our developers work around the issues. The support from Drift was disappointing, focusing more on upselling features that were already included in our current plan. Both our developers and salespeople found the software buggy and hard to use. The problems with Drift made our salespeople appear incompetent to our customers. Despite my attempts to cancel, Drift continued to bill us and claimed they couldn't locate my cancellation request. I chose Drift against our developers' advice due to its promised integration with segment.io. However, it was buggy and did not deliver as promised.

      Excellent Tool for Boosting Direct Bookings!

      I use the free version of Drift and saw a significant number of leads in the first week itself. I now understand the importance of chat conversations in improving direct hotel bookings. I received support from two individuals, Gauri and Alison, when I needed to set up the desktop app and notifications. I plan to continue using the free version until my hotel business returns to normal after the Covid-19 lockdown.

      I'm a big fan of Drift! I work in sales for a small software company and out of all the tools we use, Drift is by far the easiest to learn and has the most useful features. Our Drift representative is also very attentive and helpful, which is somewhat rare for a small to medium business. I recommend downloading the mobile app, using live chat to connect with prospects, using the Drift Video feature to show leads you're a real person, and integrating your current lead outreach with Drift to see when prospects are on your website.
