Pardot Enables Personalized Engagement with Each Donor
Before I started using Pardot, my team and I treated email like direct mail, sending out large quantities hoping for enough donations. This approach, however, treated our donors as mere pocketbooks rather than unique individuals. With Pardot, we can now tailor our content to each individual, telling a story they can relate to. This has transformed our approach from transactional to transformational. As a result, donations have increased, but this is more a byproduct of engaging unique individuals in our organization's story. Once we got the hang of the user interface, we found it very simple to use, especially with some basic HTML and CSS knowledge or good templates. We particularly appreciate the individual-level reporting and the integration with Salesforce. We also love the Engagement Studio for its ease in building automated campaigns and dynamic lists. This has reduced the time spent on uploading CSVs and allowed us more time to develop great content. However, we wish Pardot had a drag and drop editor as not everyone on our team can code.

Maximizing Email Marketing with Pardot
I am extremely pleased with Pardot and look forward to utilizing more of its features. My primary use for Pardot is email marketing and inbound lead generation. I value its seamless integration with Salesforce, which is vital for my business. I have the ability to modify anything at the field level using Pardot based on activity and segment based on any field. While there are advanced features like analytics on the higher levels of Pardot, the cost increase is substantial. I transitioned to Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement for enhanced Salesforce connectivity, a superior platform, and improved inbound lead generation.

Versatile Yet Sluggish Pardot Platform
I appreciate Pardot's Journey Builder for its versatility, easy segment creation, targeting capabilities, and visual appeal. I also find the Intelligence reports excellent and significant for data tracking and KPI overview. However, I often find the platform running slowly, experiencing frequent bugs, and having an outdated interface that lacks the ease of navigation found in Sales or Service Cloud. Even simple tasks require complex actions. I believe the platform needs improvement.

I've been using Pardot since 211 and I'm certified, but I can't recommend it anymore since Salesforce acquired it. The support is poor and its functionality doesn't compare well with HubSpot, Marketo or Act-On. I'm actively looking to switch from it.
