There were some initial problems with Melio, but most of them have been fixed and the customer service has been outstanding. I've enjoyed working with them to resolve issues and smooth out glitches. The app's simplicity and its flawless integration with QBO have saved me countless hours for each client I manage bookkeeping for. I value how fast and easy it is to use, and how everything is consolidated on one platform - incoming and outgoing transactions, and history. I adore everything about Melio, particularly its free ACH feature and QBO integration. It's become my primary tool for client bill payments and payment processing. I can monitor all their receivables and payables and make or receive payments with just a click. I recommend it to my clients and use it almost daily myself. I appreciate that it provides options for who pays the fee - me or my client - and how they want to be paid, via check or ACH. However, the ACH option can take up to.

Melio: Excellent for Bill Payments, Adequate for Receivables
Melio is incredibly easy for me to set up and use. The integration process is quick, simple, and reliable. I can enter bills in QBO and have them in Melio, and if necessary, set up payments so all my client has to do is approve them. This has been a game changer for managing payables and forecasting cash flow, especially for my international clients. However, Melio lacks a few features. It should require a W9 for certain vendors before allowing payment and it's frustrating that it doesn't accept pre-payments or retainers. Some of my clients need this feature and others have had payment failures because they misunderstood the question and answered incorrectly. Overall, the accounts payable side is stronger than the accounts receivable side. I chose Melio because it offers a faster setup, a better interface, and I had a very bad experience with Bill.com previously. I switched to Melio because it's faster, online, and provides full details of the transactions. It also allows approval.

Initially, I interacted with an AI, but after following the prompts, I was able to speak to an agent. The support I received was pleasant, but I wish there was an option to speak to an agent directly at the start of the chat to save time.
