Both Expensify and Brex are powerful tools for managing business expenses, but several key differences between them may help you determine which is the right fit for your organization. One of the most significant distinctions is their approach to pricing and functionality.

Expensify operates on a per-user pricing model, where businesses pay a fee for each active user who submits expenses. This model can be cost-effective for companies with a smaller number of users who need access to advanced expense management features. Expensify is particularly strong in automating the expense reporting process, including receipt scanning, mileage tracking, and integration with various accounting software. It’s designed to streamline the process of submitting, approving, and reimbursing expenses, making it a solid choice for companies focused on detailed expense management.

Brex, in contrast, offers a more integrated solution by combining corporate cards with expense management software. Brex doesn’...

      Unexpected Service Interruptions with Brex

I feel that Brex doesn't value small businesses. I strongly suggest others to consider using a different online bank such as Mercury for their start-ups. Brex was a good platform until they decided to exclude all small businesses. They abruptly stopped our company's ability to deposit into our account without any warning, causing our operations to cease immediately until we found an alternative solution.

Excellent Software Driven by Incredible Technology.

Brex is an excellent product that addresses a significant problem related to department expenses and approvals. As a marketer, I often have to run ads and make marketing purchases, and Brex simplifies the payment process while helping me keep track of my expenses. I particularly appreciate the notifications and transaction history features in the app, which give me confidence that only my approved expenses are charged to the card.

Brex: The Ideal Solution for E-commerce Scaling

Brex has been crucial in helping my company, Dear Ava, scale. We needed a credit card solution that let me oversee employee spending as we grew, and one that provided a large enough credit limit to support our DTC ecommerce business's increased activity during the holiday season. Brex solved both these problems with a clear and user-friendly interface. It's the best corporate credit card we've used at Dear Ava. The lack of a personal guarantee, the high credit limit that shows a deep understanding of our business operations, the intuitive UI, and the ability to track and control our employee spending have all been essential to running our business efficiently. The onboarding process was incredibly fast, and I received the card within days, while also being able to use the digital version just minutes after approval. As the CFO/controller, I would like to be able to see my Brex credit limit when I log into the portal and observe how it changes over time.

      Adoring Brex!

I'm loving Brex! It's making our lives so much easier. The virtual cards are solving an old problem of handling and applying for physical cards. I can issue a card with just a single click of a button. The fact that I can put any limit on a card makes it super easy to manage my company expenses and give anyone controlled access to resources. I can also delete a card with a single click, which is great when I want to cancel a subscription that would otherwise be a tedious process and involve dealing with an unresponsive customer center. Overall, I'm very impressed with what they've done.

      Brex is Outstanding!

I think Brex is fantastic! I love using Brex credit cards for my startup. The main attraction was no personal guarantee, which is perfect for us as we want to minimize personal financial ties. But Brex has offered more than that. It's very user-friendly and helps us track our spending and cash flow efficiently. I'm very satisfied with this card.
