Trello Excels at Simplicity
Trello appears visually appealing and is very user-friendly for me. Its straightforward interface enables me to quickly grasp how to structure my tracking. However, I am not fond of the restriction on the number of custom fields. If I require custom fields now, I will likely need more in the future. I don't like being limited in the number of fields, which forces me to operate within the tool's constraints rather than my own understanding. I don't want to pay for something as basic as a field. I would prefer to be charged for baselining, enhanced reporting, or more advanced features, rather than being nickel and dimed for fields.

I absolutely love using Trello! It's a fantastic tool that has served me well. However, I recently stumbled upon Stacks.Rocks and I must say, it's taken my productivity to a whole new level! Stacks offers all the premium features of Trello and then some, all for a one-time payment with no subscription needed. It's a dream come true!What's even better is that it works offline, so I don't have to worry about sharing my data. The user interface is sleek and intuitive, and it's available on Mac, Windows, and Linux. Plus, it syncs with cloud storage for backup, which is a lifesaver!I had the pleasure of chatting with the developer of Stacks, who shared that a mobile app and collaboration feature are on the horizon. Tackling Trello: A Tale of Frustration
My overall experience with Trello was quite frustrating. I often found my clients stuck in a "stage" due to insufficient bandwidth to move them to the next board. This was primarily because it was a manual process which, for a small company like mine, should not have been so challenging. Moreover, all add-ons required payment, some of which seemed essential, but significantly increased the cost. The only feature I liked was the ease of deploying a new client project. I could easily input new details from my kick-off decks into the auto-generated "card". However, everything else was terrible after the onboarding. Once a new card was automated in the "new client" column and details were added, it was up to me to manually move the card to the relevant stage of the process. This was extremely tedious and resulted in many clients falling through the cracks. I chose Trello mainly due to its cost comparison with Salesforce. Salesforce was too expensive for our needs and much of the platform went unused.
