Spiceworks - Streamlining Ticket Management
Spiceworks is a remotely hosted software, eliminating the need for local setup. I found the setup process to be straightforward and I use it daily. It enables me to create tickets, and there's a page for users to do the same. Tickets can also be created via email and I receive notifications once a ticket is created. It's a simple, yet very useful tool. It's free and outperforms other systems I've tried. It's fully customizable for any category needed and it always works. It's ideal for a simple ticketing system. There are ads on the website since it's free, but it's not a major issue. It's not as detailed as some other systems. I chose Spiceworks because it was free and it met all our needs.

Spiceworks: A Cost-Effective Solution for Small Businesses
I initially found Spiceworks great, but as my company expanded, the tool couldn't keep up. It's free and perfect for small businesses, providing a costless ticketing tool. However, it lacks a knowledge base. The asset management was initially good, but it became ineffective once we surpassed 200 assets. The software was often down due to database management problems. I chose Spiceworks for its price and switched to it because my previous tool was difficult to configure and manage.

Top-notch Ticketing Solution
I find Spiceworks to be a great tool for us. It's user-friendly and an improvement over other ticketing systems we've considered. It's been incredibly beneficial to keep track of our tickets, especially with the mobile tool that allows us to access and modify tickets when we're on call. We used to use Excel to track calls and troubleshoot with customers, but Spiceworks has been a better solution, accessible both in the office and on mobile devices. We appreciate the ability to add and modify fields in the ticketing system to keep track of specific customer information. This has been a huge benefit compared to our previous manual tracking, and we haven't noticed any downsides. We chose Spiceworks because it was more user-friendly and its tools better suited our needs.

Help Desk at Your Fingertips with Spiceworks
Starting a new role in a company without a Help Desk or structure, I found Spiceworks to be the most beneficial tool for enhancing IT services. It shifted user responsibility to reporting IT issues via email, which improved overall satisfaction. The ticketing system identified and rectified issues due to infrastructure weaknesses, poor procedures, or misplaced processes. I initially used Spiceworks in the cloud, then moved the database to our VM without any data loss. It's an efficient, user-friendly platform. Adding technicians and break-fix categories helped identify areas for improvement, allowing IT to focus on root causes and implement preventative solutions. However, the reports could be more streamlined to eliminate redundancy and focus on key areas. I chose Spiceworks mainly because it's free, which was perfect for our tight budget. We also added Manage Engine, and the integration has been invaluable, providing us with analytics, desktop management, and patching.
