Coercion/Intimidation Review
I have been with Motive, formerly known as Keep Trucking, and had a contract with them for 3 years. I encountered an issue when I discovered that they had deducted $5 from my account after my contract had ended. When I called to complain, they had the audacity to tell me that my contract had automatically renewed and since they had already taken the money, they could only discontinue it after another year. I've never experienced such a ridiculous response in my life, as they are essentially trying to bully me into staying with them for another year. I received no notice of this and only noticed the charge 3 days later as I had just returned from vacation. I would advise against using them.

The vendor responded positively to my review, expressing their pleasure with my satisfaction and offering their support through email or phone, with a 24/7 support line available. Great Software with Excellent Usability
I find Motive to be an excellent product with great usability. It eliminates the need to keep up with IFTA, as I can simply input my fueling and receive a quarterly summary. However, I would recommend having safety personnel to manage this, as it can be a lot for an independent to handle. My only complaint is that I was promised a discount on my monthly subscription three months ago, but I haven't seen any changes in my debit yet. I'm still paying my monthly subscription plus extra for GB of wifi. Despite this, I wouldn't want any other ELD system. I particularly love the camera and the solar-powered GPS tracker for my trailer. I'm grateful to Motive for their great system and support.

Endless Payments No Escape!
I am impressed with Motive's technology and solid reporting, including their rear and front facing cameras. However, I had a terrible experience with their customer service. My truck, equipped with a Motive system, was destroyed in a fire on July 20, 2023. I reached out to Motive to cancel my service, but they insisted that I could only do so if I shut down my business and provided a letter from the FMCSA. I clarified that I wasn't closing my business, I just wanted to cancel the service. The conversation became frustrating and I was upset that I had to continue paying for a service I wasn't receiving. I am now obligated to pay them over $300 per quarter until March 2025, which I find unreasonable. I initially chose Motive because of their superior technology, but due to their poor customer service, I won't be using them again. They have since responded, asking me to contact their support line to address my concerns.
