It works with Hyper-V and VMware, without the need to install an agent inside the VMs. It's the only software that works well with the UI-less version of Windows Hyper-V (core). The user interface is also good, allowing for quick and small backups with cloud/offline options. The tech support is always incredibly quick to respond and provides direct answers, often with additional documentation if needed. Good tech support is crucial for a company, as people are willing to leave if they encounter unpleasant or non-technical staff, or if their issues are not addressed promptly. The ability to chat with them online has always provided me with the answers I need, which is crucial for production issues and instills confidence and trust. I am not being paid or have any vested interest in this, I'm just trying to be fair. So far, Altaro software and tech support have been extremely good.
