Pros from reviewers

  • Affordable: Compared to custom software development, Formsite is a cost-effective solution for building forms. It is also affordable to maintain, making it a good choice for small to medium-sized businesses

  • Dynamic form builder: Formsite allows for the creation of dynamic forms, including complex matrix-style questions and intricate conditional logic, without requiring coding knowledge. This makes it ideal for various applications, including those in the nonprofit human services sector

  • Integration capabilities: Formsite can integrate with other commonly used software programs, enhancing its functionality. It also supports Zapier integrations, providing more power when used with automation platforms like Hubspot for marketing or Google Sheets for workflows

  • Customizable: Formsite allows for customization of forms, notifications, and success pages. It also offers the ability to decide the fields to be shown on each form and has an auto-reply feature. This level of customization makes it adaptable to various business needs.

  • Easy-to-use: Formsite is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to set up web forms for lead capture, surveys, and contact data. Its administrative backend is straightforward to navigate, and setting up basic forms is quick and easy

Cons from reviewers

  • Complexity in form creation and field definition: Creating a form from scratch can be burdensome and the terminology used to define the fields can be perplexing. This can make the initial learning curve steep for new users.

  • Limited SharePoint integration: Despite its ability to integrate with commonly used software programs, Formsite's integration with SharePoint is not seamless. It tends to break randomly, requiring manual reconnection, and primarily supports OneDrive integration for results documents

  • Single form limitation for save and return feature: Formsite's save and return feature is useful, but it only works for a single form. This makes it impossible to create a form library under one account

  • Limited customization and user permissions: Formsite has limitations in customization and user permissions are limited, making it less flexible for more complex needs

  • Outdated design and limited field verification options: The design of the forms can seem outdated and not as responsive on mobile devices. There are also limited advanced field verification options, such as matching zip codes to cities and verifying social security numbers

      Formsite: Streamlining Daily Miscellaneous Requests

This software has allowed us to centralize our marketing requests on one platform. Formsite provides a lot of functionality, enabling us to create different forms with various question styles. However, the extensive customization can be confusing and the setup can be overwhelming. The process of exporting reports to Excel could be better, as it's currently somewhat challenging. I would like more customization in this area.

Formsite - Streamlining Workflow Across Our Organization

I took over the use of Formsite when I assumed my role with the HOA and had to learn how to use it on my own, which was challenging. However, it does enable smooth workflow between departments and its reporting feature is vital for us to monitor all forms. The notes section is also handy for adding extra details to each form. Despite these advantages, I'm uncertain if I would have selected this product for our office if I had the choice. Formsite allows our homeowners to submit change requests and other issues directly through our website without requiring a special login, unless they want to access the "homeowners' only" section. It also lets me decide the fields to be shown on each form and has an auto-reply feature, which is crucial for us as we have over 5500+ homes and can't personally respond to every submission. However, creating a form from scratch is burdensome and the terminology used to define the fields is often perplexing. Even after 5 years of using this software.

Simplifying Complex Form Creation with Formsite

I have been using Formsite for years across two different jobs. It's easy for me to embed the forms and customize them to my preference. The logic-driven forms make our company appear larger than it actually is. We use Formsite for various purposes, from lead generation to surveys to job applications. Building forms with rules and logic is straightforward, and the software integrates well with other platforms. The customer service is excellent, and the ability to fully customize notifications and success pages is very intuitive. It feels like they've thought of almost everything. However, I find the design of the forms a bit outdated and it doesn't respond as well to mobile as I'd like. I also wish there were more advanced field verification options, like matching zip codes to cities and verifying social security numbers. The autofill feature doesn't always work, but that might be a bug. I chose Formsite because I was comfortable with it and knew it had all the features I needed. Unlike many form products, Formsite is very comprehensive.

      Recently Enhanced: Formsite's User Experience

In our team, we use Formsite extensively for tracking applications and contracts. We've encountered some issues with clients having difficulty completing forms on smartphones due to information "sliding" between questions. However, this issue seems to have been resolved in recent updates. It takes a while to familiarize oneself with the numerous features of the software. There are multiple ways to track and search data, and it's impressive how much information it can be formatted to collect. One problem is that when we add data to a form, we need to scroll all the way to the end of the form to update it. It would be more convenient to have an update option at both the start and end of a form.

      Exploring Formsite: A User's Perspective

I've found Formsite to be an excellent tool for creating and collecting references for potential staff. It's convenient to create what we need and then simply provide a link for those completing the form. Formsite has greatly simplified our process. We've been able to create our own online fillable forms with our own questions and it stores the responses online, making them easy to review and store. I appreciate that it sends an email once a form has been submitted, so I know it's complete. However, I'm uncertain about the options to import responses to my PC, which could be a downside for some. Also, the alert for a completed form could be annoying if a lot of forms are expected to be submitted, but it might be possible to turn this off. The vendor responded to my review, clarifying that the notification emails sent after form submission are not the default behavior and can be disabled at any time. They also mentioned that the default behavior is to collect the results data in.
