Design made simple and collaborative

Figma and InVision are both prominent tools in the world of design and prototyping, each offering unique features and experiences. They are widely used by UI/UX designers, but there are key differences to consider when choosing between them.

The first difference lies in their core functionalities. Figma is primarily known for its collaborative design capabilities. It allows multiple team members to work on the same design file simultaneously, similar to Google Docs. This real-time collaboration extends to brainstorming sessions, design iterations, and receiving immediate feedback. Figma also includes vector graphics editing and prototyping within the same environment, making it a comprehensive tool for design creation and testing.

In contrast, InVision's primary focus is on prototyping. While it also offers collaborative features, its strength lies in turning static design files into interactive prototypes. Designers can upload their designs from various design tools, including Sketch...

Once Flawless, Figma's Latest Updates Fall Short

I am currently designing a website with numerous pages using Figma, a design tool I've been utilizing for several years. However, I've run into an issue with the recent updates. Figma now shows the memory usage, which has surpassed 77%. Despite removing unneeded files, I'm still experiencing performance and memory problems. This is frustrating and negatively impacts my productivity, pushing me to consider other design tools. I'm disappointed that Figma can't manage the number of files needed for my project and the proposed solution of dividing the project into multiple files seems unfeasible. The recent surge of new features and updates has significantly impacted the software's performance, leading me to question if these enhancements were necessary.

      Outstanding Job, Figma!

Wow, what a terrible experience I had with Figma. I had to use this software to design a mock website for a university project, and I would have preferred to do it in machine code. Despite having many features, almost everything is so poorly designed that it's practically unusable. I tried using text boxes to input variables, but they kept resetting to default and often didn't register my clicks. It's also incredibly difficult to find and add components, as there's no easy way to access the community tab without opening it directly in my browser. I even had to Google search twice to figure out how to do it. The main issue, however, is the performance. This software is a real computer killer. I have an I5-124f and it struggled to run Figma. It got to the point where I had to wait up to 5 minutes for my small project to load. When it kept crashing and Chrome stopped responding, I checked the task manager and found it was using NINE GIGABYTES of RAM. I'm not saying I could design a website like Figma, and I'm sure the team put in a lot of effort, but as a competent user trying to use this site

Exploring Figma: A Game-Changer in Design Creation

I appreciate how Figma has revolutionized design creation and continues to do so, demonstrating the product team's clear vision and understanding of user needs. However, I find the personal catalog of user files poorly designed and the project hierarchy within a team difficult to edit. I wish for more flexibility, such as tagging files or creating separate folders for my files. I'm also concerned about the system's increasing complexity.

Figma's Policy Rules the Customer Experience

I am concerned about Figma's policy, particularly their introduction of the free Dev Mode. There seems to be a lack of transparency as customers will start being charged from January 1, 224. As an admin, I have not received any information from Figma on how to disable these users. I feel this could lead to customers being unfairly charged and harassed without proper documentation.

Effortlessly Crafting Product Wireframes with Figma

As a product manager, I consider Figma to be a crucial component of our product development process. I utilize it to transform ideas into wireframes, which our designers further develop into UI prototypes for our engineering team. Figma acts as a comprehensive tool for all our design tasks, encompassing UX prototyping, idea wireframing, and UI assets and guidelines. It boasts a large community that has developed a range of plugins, templates, and design formats, simplifying both wireframing and prototyping. The software is highly intuitive and offers a favorable learning curve, enabling new users to gain proficiency rapidly. It excels in business integration, with robust API support that lets us link with various tools, including Bravo Studio, which aids us in launching small apps without any code. However, there is potential for enhancement in the discoverability of community plugins and the abstract nature of the default tools can pose a challenge for new users. I also think Figma should have a marketplace for all.
