Figma and InVision are both prominent tools in the world of design and prototyping, each offering unique features and experiences. They are widely used by UI/UX designers, but there are key differences to consider when choosing between them.

The first difference lies in their core functionalities. Figma is primarily known for its collaborative design capabilities. It allows multiple team members to work on the same design file simultaneously, similar to Google Docs. This real-time collaboration extends to brainstorming sessions, design iterations, and receiving immediate feedback. Figma also includes vector graphics editing and prototyping within the same environment, making it a comprehensive tool for design creation and testing.

In contrast, InVision's primary focus is on prototyping. While it also offers collaborative features, its strength lies in turning static design files into interactive prototypes. Designers can upload their designs from various design tools, including Sketch...

Thriving with Figma: A Collaborative Design Experience

I'm absolutely thrilled with Figma's collaborative approach! We have 2 designers on our team, but the software allows us to share our work with up to 9 people! It's a unique feature in their pricing system that charges based on the number of people you share your Figma with, giving us the flexibility to involve more people in our projects. Over the past 3 months, I've had the opportunity to interact with their customer service team to understand this feature better. It's been a learning curve, but it's also been a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. And let's not forget Adobe's involvement! Their influence has brought a corporate touch to Figma, making it a more robust and reliable tool. It's clear they're dedicated to investing in the software to make it the best it can be. I'm excited to see where this partnership will take Figma in the future!

Lacking in Reliability and User Interface: A Review on Figma

I find it hard to believe that popular and industry-standard interface designing tools like these could have such poor user interfaces. At one point, on a smaller laptop screen, I couldn't even see the login button on their login page in my browser. There's a huge irony here. I also have some doubts about its reliability. I'm in a work situation where I need to access files I'm importing from the web on the browser. After two or three failed login attempts on a somewhat slow connection, they've essentially locked me out of my account for an hour. This is an unnecessary, poorly implemented, and excessive security measure that could prove costly in crunch situations.

Experiencing Figma's Customer Service: A Personal Account

I've had the opportunity to interact with Figma's customer service due to a minor billing discrepancy, which I was more than happy to resolve. Although there was a brief moment where my account was inaccessible, I took it as a chance to appreciate the importance of this tool in my project. It's like they say, you don't know what you've got until it's gone! The experience has been a bit of an adventure, and I'm eagerly awaiting a response from the team. It's clear that Figma plays a crucial role in my work, almost like a trusted partner. I'm looking forward to getting back on track and diving back into my project with renewed vigor!
