Untrustworthy Billing Tactics
I have been a user of Promo.com for 5 years. While I have faced issues in the past, I was able to handle them. However, I have decided to stop using Promo due to their dishonest and deceptive billing practices. There are many other alternatives that do not involve such problems. The software is user-friendly, but they have charged my card without my consent and refused to refund when errors occurred. Their customer service is unresponsive. I initially chose Promo.com for its simplicity. In response to my complaints, they offered me a discount on my monthly plan for 12 months, which ended in February. From March, the price went back to the original rate. They also offered me two free months and a discount for the next 12 months, but neither of these options were satisfactory. They have contacted me via email to discuss further, but I remain unsatisfied with their service.

Beware of Supplier Choices with Promo-Com: Unexpected Challenges May Arise.
This seems to be a recurring theme with Promo. In my opinion, their cancellation terms are draconian and the worst I've encountered in my 14 years as a digital marketer. I used Promo a few times at the start of a subscription and then never again. The subscription just renewed and I tried to get a refund on the same day the payment was made. Promo sent a renewal reminder, but I genuinely didn't receive it. I was shown a screenshot of the notice, which I didn't receive (probably went to spam), and it was sent in September. This, in my view, is a sneaky way of doing things. No other supplier I know sends a reminder 3 months before a payment is due. Since closing my business, I've been trying to cancel as many business subscriptions as possible, but I missed this one. Payment was taken on December 28th, and I contacted the team on the same day explaining my situation. The first customer agent tried to help me, but the next agent from their finance team only offered me a 4% refund. Paying 6% for a service I won't use is harsh. Promo-com is a decent software, but not a necessity. It's ideal for video creation, but may not be suitable for small businesses unable to afford multiple platforms, as there are more comprehensive all-in-one solutions out there. Promo offers appealing templates and is user-friendly, making it accessible for those with minimal video editing experience. However, I couldn't justify paying for Promo-com when alternatives like Canva are available.
