New Relic: A Powerful Tool for In-Depth Data Analysis and Website Success
New Relic is an incredibly powerful tool that has the potential to be a game-changer. The pricing may seem a bit steep, but considering the depth of data it provides, it's a worthy investment. The customer support system is unique, focusing on a community-based forum rather than traditional ticketing. This encourages users to share their experiences and solutions, fostering a sense of community. I was particularly impressed by the sales team, especially one representative who went above and beyond, stepping into the role of tech support to assist us. This level of dedication is commendable and speaks volumes about the company's commitment to its customers. The setup process can be a bit challenging, but it's a testament to the software's robustness. It's not just a tool for anyone; it's a tool for those who are serious about understanding their data. The Basic User access may seem limited, but it's a great starting point for those who are new to the platform. For those who need more, the Full User Access is available at an additional cost. Yes, it's an extra $99, but the wealth of information it unlocks is invaluable. It's like having a personal detective, digging through your data to find the root cause of any issue. It's a small price to pay for such a powerful tool. The data provided by New Relic is comprehensive and insightful. It's like having a roadmap to your website's performance. With the right plan, you can easily share this information within your team, fostering collaboration and problem-solving. In my opinion, the value provided by New Relic far outweighs the cost. It's a tool that empowers you to understand your website like never before. It's not just a software, it's an investment in your website's success.

Improved UI/UX and Pricing, but Deployment Proves Challenging
I evaluated NewRelic a few years ago but found it too complex and unstable, with complicated and unpredictable pricing. I recently gave it another try and was pleasantly surprised by improvements in pricing transparency and UI/UX, but only with the "new" design. However, deployment was a nightmare. Despite having a simple infrastructure (Linux + PHP + MySQL + Node), the agent installation was buggy and several services weren't properly discovered. I had to manually install the MySQL agent and found the guide outdated. Even after successful installation, I didn't receive any MySQL-related data. After these issues, I decided to leave NewRelic, only to find that I couldn't close my account online. I had to navigate a knowledge-base and request assistance from a moderator, as there was no access to a Support ticket system. I believe NewRelic has attempted to revamp their product but they're still suffering from years of product additions/modifications.

Spot the Problem Before Your Client Does
Together with Zabbix, I find that New Relic enables us to identify and address issues on our production servers more swiftly. The insightful reports it offers assist us in evaluating the effectiveness of our updates. We can determine if an update has fixed the performance problem it was meant to address and carry out a long-term analysis of our codebase. The software's integration with our technology stack allows us to monitor the most pressing issues in our software. Moreover, its integration with Zabbix enables us to push errors to our OPS team communication channels and resolve problems before our customers notice and report them to support. I have no specific complaints, as New Relic does an excellent job of monitoring KPIs for our SaaS app.
