Mural - Unrivalled Virtual Whiteboard Experience!
This software, Mural, is not just a fantastic and functional app, but it's also visually appealing. It fulfills my designer's need to express and organize my ideas, and it's as aesthetically pleasing as it is calming. I use it for personal notes, sketching, planning, and even for client-based project sharing and brainstorming sessions. It's the most beautiful software/app I use. With Mural, I can work alone, sketch, collect images, take notes, and then share it with as many people as I want. It also allows for real-time meetings, where we can share ideas, work on a virtual "whiteboard" simultaneously, and communicate visually, no matter where we are. Although it's a bit expensive, it's definitely worth it. I've even started using Mural instead of Skype and Zoom meetings. My clients are impressed with the ability to interact visually with my ideas and me, and they can express their own ideas as well.

Top-tier Solution for Seamless Remote Collaboration
So far, my experience with Mural has been seamless and rewarding. It enables me to rapidly brainstorm ideas with my remote teams or plan projects with teams in various locations, eliminating the need for travel. It has removed the necessity for co-location to conduct a workshop or collaborate with remote product teams. I can now think and collaborate visually anywhere, anytime. I value its ability to replicate the real-world experience of brainstorming, project planning, or synthesizing a lot of data, all in real time. If you're new to design thinking, they already have readily available templates for workshops or brainstorming. It functions well on laptops/desktops, but is best on touchscreen devices. My ideal setup would be giant touch screens in all locations. However, downloading data for offline use can be time-consuming. It sends a download link to your registered email, but the time it takes to receive the email can vary.

Overcoming Hurdles: My Rollercoaster Experience with Mural
I recently had an interesting experience with Mural that I'd love to share! I initially tried to cancel my Mural account from my phone, but ran into a little hiccup - my account got locked. It was a bit of a surprise, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I was billed for the month, which gave me more time to explore the software's features. The Mural team suggested I try cancelling from a computer, which I only have access to at work. It was a bit of a challenge, but I managed to cancel from my computer, even with my account being locked. It was a bit of a puzzle, but I love a good challenge! What really impressed me was the customer service. A representative named Karen was incredibly helpful. She informed me that they were aware of the issue with cancelling via phone and suggested I share my experience in their community. I thought this was a fantastic idea! It's great to see a company that values customer feedback and uses it to improve their services. Even though I was charged and my account was locked, I appreciated the fact that they were transparent about the situation. They didn't shy away from the issue, but instead, they acknowledged it and are working on a solution. I had to inform them three times that my account was locked, but each time, they were responsive and understanding. Overall, my experience with Mural was a rollercoaster ride, but it was a learning experience. I'm excited to see how they'll improve their services based on user feedback. It's clear to me that they value their customers and are committed to providing the best service possible.

Essential for Remote Teams!
I've had a great experience hosting multi-day design sessions and Sprints using Mural. It's perfect for facilitating remote meetings and ensuring equal participation globally. The most challenging aspect is user management. Unlike Slack, Mural doesn't automatically reactivate deactivated users to prevent unnecessary billing. An admin has to manually reactivate them, causing a slight administrative delay, but this doesn't affect the actual functionality of the collaboration tools.

Like Miro's Lesser-Known Sibling
I feel like Mural is the less popular, rejected sibling of Miro that no one wants to use. However, due to some company contracts, I'm obligated to use this software, which I find extremely unsatisfactory.

Experiencing Mural: A Game-Changer Tool with Excellent Customer Service
I've found Mural to be an incredibly useful tool! Their software has been a game-changer for me. I had a few queries about my billing and decided to reach out to their customer service. It took a bit of time for them to respond, but when they did, they were able to clarify my concerns. Although they couldn't process a refund due to their policy, they provided me with all the necessary information and evidence regarding my cancellation. I was genuinely surprised by their commitment to transparency. It's refreshing to see a company that values its customers so much!

Mural: The Corporate Miro with a Lackluster Edge
Mural is primarily for online collaboration and it delivers on its promise. However, I find it less inspiring than Miro. The templates and fonts are not appealing and it requires more effort than necessary to adjust everything to my preference. I really miss using Miro. Mural has everything Miro has, but in a lesser form. It's like comparing Powerpoint to Keynote. Powerpoint gets the job done, but if you want more control or advanced features, you'd prefer Keynote. As a designer, I miss that in Mural. However, Mural does allow for more administrative control, similar to how Powerpoint can limit you to using company templates. The switch to Mural was a company-wide decision.
