-
User-friendly template creator: The Mailjet template creator is easy to use, particularly if you're familiar with other template creators. The saved sections feature simplifies the creation process
-
Good value for medium-sized businesses: Despite being a bit high-priced compared to some open source and self-hosted options, Mailjet offers the best value for medium-sized businesses, providing a balance between cost and features.
Cons from reviewers
-
High pricing: Despite being a good SASS product, Mailjet's pricing is considered high compared to some open source and self-hosted options, which can be a deterrent for some users
-
Limited segmentation: To use segmentation, users need to upgrade to higher payment tiers. This can be a disadvantage for those who require advanced segmentation but are not willing or able to pay for higher tiers
-
Lack of functionality for large scale campaigns: For large scale email campaigns, Mailjet could potentially damage your email list size due to the lack of functionality around reengagement campaign parameters
-
Limited data access: MailJet does not allow clients to use them as a databasing tool. For instance, users cannot access data of a segment of users who are engaged for other marketing purposes
-
Poor customer service: Some users have reported poor customer service experiences with Mailjet, including slow response times and unsatisfactory resolutions to issues.

When comparing Mailjet and SendGrid, two of the most prominent email service providers, it's essential to consider their unique features and approaches to email management. While both platforms offer robust tools for sending marketing campaigns, transactional emails, and managing subscriber lists, there are key differences that may influence your decision.
One significant difference between Mailjet and SendGrid lies in their user interfaces and ease of use. Mailjet is known for its intuitive dashboard and user-friendly design, making it accessible to users of all technical levels. With its straightforward navigation and clear organization of features, Mailjet is ideal for beginners and experienced marketers alike.
SendGrid, on the other hand, is favored by developers and tech-savvy users for its extensive API documentation and advanced customization options. While SendGrid also offers a user-friendly interface, its emphasis on integration and customization sets it apart. Developers...

Mailjet is a budget platform that works well for beginners or small businesses. It provides a range of tools to create email campaigns. The email builder is easy to use. There are plenty of design options to choose from. Moreover, it offers integrations and excellent tracking features. However, this platform falls short in terms of managing lists, segmenting audiences, and customer support when compared to other platforms. Mailjet is an option for those who want a budget solution to manage simple email marketing campaigns and handle transactional emails. It offers developer features like an API that allows you to customize functionalities if you have access to a developer.
On the other hand, Mailchimp is an email marketing platform that covers all the bases. It offers reports and an intuitive interface that guides users through its functions smoothly while providing personalized tips along the way. The email templates and testing features are also praiseworthy. However, there is room...
Who is Mailjet best for according to our reviewers?
Small to Medium-sized Businesses: These businesses can benefit from Mailjet's easy setup, top-notch design, and email builder. The platform is user-friendly and intuitive, even for beginners. However, for more advanced features like segmentation, higher payment tiers are required
Professional Email Marketers: Mailjet provides a wide range of email templates, making it easier to send and receive emails for marketing campaigns and automated messages. It also allows for the addition and removal of people from your email structure, and the assignment of specific permissions to certain people
Newsletter Creators: For those who need to create and send weekly newsletters on a budget, Mailjet offers a user-friendly newsletter builder and a free plan that allows up to 6000 emails monthly. However, if more emails need to be sent, a paid subscription is necessary
Start-ups: Start-ups can use Mailjet for sending a small number of emails with webhooks and API calls. However, for large scale campaigns, the lack of functionality around reengagement campaign parameters could be a limitation
Gitlab Users: Mailjet can be used for sending Gitlab notifications. However, some users have reported issues with account closure and lack of customer service support.

Avoid if Sending High-Volume Email Campaigns
Overall, I found Mailjet suitable for sending a small number of emails with webhooks and API calls. However, for large scale campaigns, it could potentially damage your email list size due to the lack of functionality around reengagement campaign parameters. The sales people and customer support were very pleasant. If you're looking to use the free tier or send a low volume of emails, MailJet will suffice. However, if you're comparing it with ConstantContact, SendGrid, Selligent etc, I would not recommend MailJet. MailJet does not allow clients to use them as a databasing tool. For instance, if you have a segment of users who are engaged and have opened 20 times in the last 30 days and you want to get those email addresses to push into Facebook to find a look alike audience, you can't. MailJet won't let you access that data. They also blacklist your softbouncing emails in the background and limit the characters in subject lines. I switched.

Not too bad, but tough to cancel plan.
Mailjet is a good service if you need to send emails once or twice a month to many recipients. However, I'm giving it 2 stars because it's very complicated to cancel the plan. The cancellation process is hidden and complex. Also, they don't send reminders before charging you, which would be nice.

Exploring Mailjet: A User's Perspective
I appreciate the simplicity of Mailjet. Despite its flaws, I find the online email editor useful and managing lists straightforward. The scenarios are easy to construct and effective. I use Mailjet's professional servers and am very satisfied with the mail delivery rate. However, I find the interface not user-friendly, especially if you're familiar with other services. A significant part of it doesn't work as expected and it can take a while to keep trying a task before the system responds. The server's response time is painfully slow.

Considering the Cost, Mailjet is Almost Flawless
I find the Mailjet template creator easy to use, particularly if you're familiar with other template creators. I like the "saved sections" feature in the template creator as it simplifies the creation process. I view Mailjet's strict anti-spam measures as a positive, as most of my emails get delivered. For our company's newsletter frequency, Mailjet is perfect. However, for transactional emails, we use Marsello due to its extensive segment properties. Choosing a mail software can be stressful as many companies charge significantly more as your list grows. In my view, Mailjet offers the best value for medium-sized businesses. However, if you want to use segmentation, you need to upgrade to higher payment tiers. I tested their segment tiers and wasn't overly impressed, so I decided to downgrade. I switched to Mailjet because Mailchimp has become significantly more expensive over the years.
