Reflecting on My Growth and Experience at Lano
I had the privilege of working at Lano for a remarkable 7.5 years, during which I was given the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. I was able to work alongside colleagues from diverse backgrounds, which enriched my experience and broadened my perspective. I started my journey at Lano as a bobbin maker in tuft, and within just six months, I was encouraged to expand my skill set and learn mechanics. This was a challenging task, especially as a foreigner who was still learning the language, but the supportive environment at Lano helped me to persevere and succeed. I was then given the responsibility of leading the night shift team, which included roles as a mechanic and forklift driver, managing about 2 people. This was a fantastic opportunity to develop my leadership skills and to contribute to the team in a meaningful way. I was also asked to obtain a forklift certification and to work on weekends for interventions, both of which I accepted with enthusiasm as they added to my professional growth. Throughout my tenure, I was compensated with a steady salary that was commensurate with my role. I appreciated the transparency and fairness in the pay structure, which ensured that everyone, regardless of their experience, was paid equally. Working at Lano felt like being part of a big family. The camaraderie and team spirit were truly inspiring and made my time there enjoyable and fulfilling.
