Remarkable Open-Source Software with Top-Notch Customer Support
eXo platform is an open-source software that I see as an alternative to Microsoft Sharepoint. It functions as a company social network, wiki, and collaboration platform. eXo also offers a premium, professionally supported version that can be hosted on Amazon cloud or used on-premise. I'm currently evaluating the on-premise version on our testing VPS. The installation was quick and easy, with the interface available within minutes. After setting up nginx as a reverse proxy and adding the start script to run on boot or reboot, the on-premise version was ready to use. There are some minor issues with the Czech language translation of the UI and some bugs with international characters in some fields. However, most functions work well in our test environment. One minor issue is that our VPS, which meets the minimum spec for eXo, seems a bit underpowered. It takes a few seconds to load something that isn't cached.
