What is Excel?
Pros from reviewers
-
Efficient data management: Excel is an outstanding tool for managing large volumes of data, enabling users to sort, retrieve, and analyze data effortlessly
-
Advanced calculation capabilities: Excel offers scalable formula and calculation functions such as IF, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, and INDEX-MATCH, which allow users to apply formulas across the spreadsheet, saving time and effort
-
Enhanced productivity: Excel shortcut keys and features like conditional formatting, pivot tables, and the paste special function significantly boost productivity and enhance the visual appeal of data
-
Versatility: Excel is a flexible tool that can be used for a variety of tasks, from managing finances and calculating grades to tracking attendance and automating salaries
-
Ease of use: Despite its advanced features, Excel is relatively easy to start using, allowing users to edit spreadsheets, create graphics, and perform calculations with ease.
Cons from reviewers
-
Challenges for new users in understanding formulas: For new users, understanding how formulas work and how they can enhance the information we get from Excel or expedite the workflow can be somewhat challenging.
-
Difficulty in copying functions across spreadsheets: Separate Excel spreadsheets behave as if they're the same, making it impossible to copy and paste a function into another open spreadsheet unless exiting the current cell
-
Risk of data loss or inaccuracy due to mistakes: A single mistake in Excel can lead to loss of all data or accuracy of equations if not used carefully
-
Disconcerting navigation for new users: Hitting the enter key in Excel takes you to the next cell, unlike in Microsoft Word. This can be disconcerting for some people and takes some getting used to
-
Limited functionality with large files: As file sizes increase, Excel's performance deteriorates, resulting in frequent crashes. Particularly, complex workbooks with multiple tabs, macros, and embedded files are more likely to crash

Airtable and Excel are both robust platforms, but they serve very different purposes and are designed for distinct types of tasks. Airtable operates more like a database, allowing users to structure and link data in multiple ways. This makes it perfect for content management systems, inventory tracking, and project management. Its interface is highly intuitive, allowing users to switch between different data views such as grid, calendar, or kanban boards. These customization options make Airtable particularly suitable for teams that require flexibility and multifunctionality in their data management solutions. It also shines in the realm of collaboration, updating changes in real-time and featuring an activity feed and mention capabilities.
Excel, on the other hand, is a powerhouse for data analysis and number-crunching. It is the go-to platform for tasks requiring complex formulas, charts, and pivot tables. Excel's primary advantage lies in its advanced features for statistical and...

Astounded by the Experience
I first saw the hoodie a few months ago and instantly fell in love with it. Instead of buying it from my usual supplier, I decided to look elsewhere during these austere times. I managed to get it at an incredible price from Excel Clothing. Their website was quick and easy to navigate, and the delivery was fast. I was very impressed and will definitely be returning.

2 Years with Excel and Still Going Strong!!
I used to frequently shop with Excel until I moved to London 2 years ago. I was excited to find out they ship anywhere. My first order was delivered exactly on time. I believe I will be a returning customer after all these years!

Excel They Sure Do :)
I purchased a garment from Excel and requested a delay in shipping as I was away from home. Before the package was due to be dispatched, I bought two more garments and again asked for a delay in dispatch, wanting all three garments to be shipped together. I must have sent countless emails, but the team at Excel was quick to respond and always polite and courteous. The package arrived the day after I got home, perfect timing. I had to return two of the three garments due to fit issues, but the refund was processed promptly. I give them 5 stars and an A+. I look forward to making more purchases in the future. Thanks, Steve.

Mastering Data Management with Excel: My Journey
Based on my overall experience, Microsoft Excel is a fantastic tool for administrative tasks, allowing me to create various tables and formulas. I use it for managing staff records, tracking attendance, and automating salaries, among other things. There's always more to learn, and it simplifies daily data management. However, a single mistake can lead to loss of all data or accuracy of equations if not used carefully. I chose Microsoft Excel as I haven't used any other products for these tasks.

Well, It's a Choice
I have a mixed relationship with Excel, akin to how I tolerate my family despite their annoying habits. I'm bound to it as my law firm restricts Google cloud apps. Excel has its advantages. It's been in existence for over two decades and has undergone numerous refinements. It's excellent for making lists, particularly when copying and pasting data from web forms. It correctly pastes tables by column and row 99% of the time, facilitating information sharing with my colleagues. It also lets me import data via comma or tab delimited text files, saving me significant time as a computer engineer. The formulas are also handy for computing anything I need, like capacity and utilization percentages of storage devices. However, some aspects of Excel annoy me. For example, I can't copy and paste a function into another open spreadsheet unless I exit the current cell. This is because separate Excel spreadsheets behave as if they're the same.
