I believe PrestaShop is an excellent shop solution. However, I would like to suggest some improvements: making customer reviews on themes and modules accessible to all, integrating a full backup and migration function into the basic installation, providing more detailed free documentation, and publishing professional, reasonably priced books explaining full functionality and implementation. I appreciate their hard work.

I've been a loyal user of Prestashop for years and my experience has been nothing short of multicultural! Their support team is so diverse, they often switch between languages and provide links in different languages, which I find quite intriguing. Recently, they introduced a new pricing model for their 1-click upgrade module. It's now priced at £23, a clear indication of the significant improvements and added value they've incorporated into it. It used to be free, but I'm excited to see the enhancements that this new version brings. Working with Prestashop now feels like they've stepped up their game, constantly innovating and improving their services.

Complimentary E-commerce Platform with Comprehensive Features
PrestaShop is an ideal tool if I'm considering venturing into e-commerce. It's popular in countries like France and Italy, with numerous agencies offering online shops based on it. It fulfills all basic needs and if I have some IT experience, I can build my own shop for free. If I'm serious about e-commerce, I'll eventually need to purchase modules (plugins for PrestaShop) and hire a PHP developer to tailor the site to my needs. Most shops find solutions with existing plugins sold on PrestaShop's site or other portals. I can install a shop with one click on Softaculous, which is common on shared hosting. The hosting requirements are basic, any hosting suitable for WordPress will work fine with PrestaShop, so $5/€ a month is more than enough. There's an active community in many languages, where I can get free help for basic issues and bug reports. I recommend getting a template for the graphics, as it will make the site look more professional.

As a small e-commerce business owner, I find Prestashop to be a fitting solution. I've been using it for over five years for my side business and it's been excellent. It's open-source, free, and easy to install and use. Even without programming skills, I can use templates, auto backup, and auto-upgrade at no cost. There are no limits on customers, orders, or users, and no time limit. However, as my business grows, I might want more features like better design, stock management, and import/export capabilities. At this point, I'll need to invest in addons, hire a freelancer, or learn to make these improvements myself. Despite this, I appreciate the flexibility it offers. Prestashop has been around for many years and has a wealth of resources like forums, videos, and blog posts. Being from Europe, I particularly appreciate their translation packs. However, their customer service could be better and beginners might struggle with technical issues.

Presta and Presta Module Vendors Review
As a user, I find Prestashop unreliable due to its support for sellers who sell substandard products. I've lost both money and time using Prestashop. For instance, I purchased a module from ETS-Soft that didn't work, and the seller disappeared without providing a refund. The reviews on the site are misleading as they are often sent by the sellers themselves, resulting in surprisingly positive reviews for non-functional products. Although there is a warning text about the reviews, it's disheartening to see the amount of money I've spent over the years. Most modules stop working after updating Prestashop, making the update more expensive than anticipated. Prestashop feels like a car without spare parts when needed. The only upside is that it's possible to get it working well, but it requires a significant investment that seems to never end.
