I find PrestaShop to be a suitable option for starting an online business due to its variety of free and paid templates, allowing me to easily select a preferred design. It supports almost every payment gateway globally, enabling me to set up my online store quickly. However, as my store expands, scaling becomes challenging, particularly when integrating with external apps like 3D shopping. The communication between plugins can slow down my store, reducing its efficiency. On the bright side, PrestaShop is easy to install, but modifying it can be difficult if you're not familiar with Smarty templates. It operates quickly without any enhancements and offers numerous plugins, both free and paid. The community support is satisfactory, with available forums and Facebook groups. It also supports many payment gateway integrations, both free and paid. On the downside, the total cost of owning PrestaShop may not be as low as one might initially think.

Prestashop: A User's Perspective on its Strengths and Areas for Improvement
I've been a loyal user of Prestashop for a variety of e-commerce solutions and it has been a fantastic tool up until version 1.7. Since then, there have been a few hiccups, such as VAT calculation errors and outdated modules, but I see these as opportunities for improvement rather than setbacks. Today, I attempted to purchase an Invoice/accounting csv module and ran into a bit of a snag with the checkout and login process. I reached out to their chat support and although I had to wait a bit longer than expected, I appreciate their efforts in trying to resolve my issue. I'm confident that they are working hard to improve their customer service and I'm excited to see how they will enhance their support system. Despite the minor issues, I'm still a big fan of Prestashop and look forward to continuing to use their software for my e-commerce needs.
