When I was planning a virtual summit, I explored various platforms for hosting video content and consistently found Wistia. It was a name I recognized as it's widely used in my industry, so I decided to give it a shot. What distinguishes Wistia is its video player and the control it gives its users. I could tailor the player to align with my brand, choose which features to include or exclude, and manage what happens after a video concludes. I could also establish privacy settings for my videos, permitting them to be embedded only on chosen domains, anywhere online, or solely on my Wistia channel. This was particularly beneficial for selling video content, like video courses, virtual summits, or digital workshops. However, I was not entirely pleased with Wistia's pricing structure, which is linked to bandwidth. Essentially, the more my content is viewed, the more bandwidth is consumed, and the higher my Wistia membership bill will be.

Wistia: Elevating Video Hosting to New Heights!
I believe that Wistia is an incredibly user-friendly platform that I've been using for over 4 years to host our organization's marketing and training videos. It simplifies the process of loading videos, setting up chapters, sharing links, and embedding in our help center. I also use their metrics to identify where our videos are getting views. However, I find that some of the save/edit buttons aren't always clearly visible when editing advanced functions of videos. Despite this, I chose Wistia for its ease of use, gating, and security options and plan to continue using them for as long as I host videos. They are an amazing company with an awesome product.
