I'm absolutely thrilled with Stripe! I set up a new account to kickstart my business on Instagram and was able to process my first transaction of 2 euros seamlessly. Stripe's security measures are top-notch - they flagged my account as a 'High-Risk Business' after just one transaction, showing their commitment to protecting their users. Even though I had no disputes and had provided all necessary documents, Stripe took the extra step to ensure the safety of my funds. They temporarily suspended my payouts and payments, which I appreciate as it shows their dedication to security. What's more, they've been safeguarding my funds for the past 8 months, assuring me that they can't refund the remaining amount after failing to issue any refunds to my only customer. Overall, I found Stripe Billing to be useful for my needs, especially for recurring monthly billing. It was relatively easy to set up and use, and I liked the option to receive daily payouts instead of a weekly lump sum. It also integrated smoothly with another platform I use for monthly billing. However, I found the dashboard somewhat hard to navigate and often had trouble finding the information I needed, which was time-consuming. I'm not a fan of fees, but I understand their necessity. However, I wasn't clearly informed about the fee percentage when I signed up and had trouble finding this information later, as it wasn't included in the reports. I should mention that I don't run a large company or many reports, so I'm usually just looking at income and payouts.

I find Stripe Billing to be mostly excellent. The learning curve isn't the shortest, but once I got the hang of it, I appreciated the numerous options they offer to provide the best service to my customers. They take privacy very seriously and their site is packed with support, examples, forums, and resources for developers. They also offer options to manage clients and subscriptions, including free trials. Their commissions aren't the cheapest, but they aren't overly expensive either. I appreciate their continuous development of services, like accepting payments via convenience stores. However, initially, I found it difficult to understand all their concepts and couldn't find a simple tutorial on their site. I chose Stripe Billing because the registration process was straightforward. They asked for a lot of user data, but once provided, I was ready to go live. I'm still considering Openpay, but their client registration process is more difficult.

Unparalleled in its Field: Stripe Billing
I believe that Stripe Billing is the best method for receiving online payments from customers. It boasts a feature-rich dashboard and excellent customer service. The payouts are consistent and, after trying various providers, I find Stripe to be the best alternative on the market. It offers a powerful invoicing system, recurring payment capabilities, a great graphical dashboard, and top-notch customer support. However, I do think the fees could be lower. They charge 2.9% plus $0.3 plus 0.5% per recurring payment, which significantly increases the prices, not including federal taxes. I chose Stripe Billing because it's easier to configure, provides better customer support, and its API and dashboard are superior to all other alternatives. Plus, the features overall surpass those offered by its competitors. Additionally, gaining access to Stripe was a straightforward process compared to other alternatives full of hurdles.

Stripe Billing: Powerful but Cumbersome with Room for Improvement
The software feels outdated, like it's from the 1990s. It's great that it doesn't require a landline, but it's missing some key features, such as processing credit card payments in the field or in-store without internet. I like that I can accept payments through my ecommerce website, but it's frustrating that I can't add a custom note for the customer and it requires too much information to process a credit card, like the billing address. I wish it had a credit card swipe feature to avoid having to input so much information. I've contacted customer service about this, but they've never followed up. I chose Stripe Billing over Shopify because Shopify is expensive and charges per transaction as well as a percentage of the sale. I switched to Stripe Billing because I needed an all-in-one ecommerce and point of sale solution, rather than separate services for each.
