I can swiftly verify if any of my virtual machines or networks are disconnected. However, I find it slightly confusing to use and set up on Linux, and I think it could be difficult for beginners. An Abundantly Featured Alternative for Monitoring Solutions
My overall impression of Pandora FMS is that it's robust. I never feel like anything is missing or that a module could do more. It's a highly flexible, multiplatform solution that allows me to monitor a wide range of systems. If there isn't a predefined module or plugin for something I need to monitor, I can create a custom script and use the "DataServer" process to generate alerts and notifications without losing any functionality. The addition of Tentacle as a transfer protocol simplifies deployment and ensures fast, secure information transfer. The solution is implemented from an ISO based on Centos, which includes preconfigured Cron Jobs to maintain optimal database conditions. This is a big plus for me, as it's not common and I don't have to worry about database management. As a Linux-based solution, it offers an excellent balance between hardware requirements and the number of manageable agents - up to 2000 agents with just 4GB of RAM. The user experience is great. It occasionally crashes and fails to respond to user commands. I also encounter difficulties integrating it with other monitoring features. I appreciate the vendor's response to my feedback and their dedication to improving the software.
