NetSuite: Paving the Way for Business Expansion
I highly recommend NetSuite as it meets all the needs of a manufacturer, regardless of size. It has allowed us to grow and expand. We're transitioning from manual stock counts to a barcode scanning system. We switched to NetSuite when we outgrew QuickBooks and are now focusing on mastering it as quickly as possible. This involves me spending a lot of time training and developing systems for other salespeople. A challenge we face is estimating the cost of an assembly by only looking at the BOM. The most recent information needs to be calculated and made available. It's easy to determine the gross margin as our earnings are based on a margin, and the numbers fluctuate throughout the day. Initially, some differences between NetSuite and other applications were confusing, but we are making progress, albeit slowly. The vendor responded positively to my review and suggested checking out the NetSuite Customer Community.

They painted a fantastic picture of what the software could do, and while the support was a bit minimal, it was a great opportunity for us to learn and navigate through the system independently. Yes, there were some fees involved, but considering the comprehensive features and capabilities of the software, it was a worthwhile investment. Recently, we had a unique situation where our entire site was down for 22 hours. It was a challenging time, but it gave us a chance to test our problem-solving skills. NetSuite was quick to respond, sending us an email 8 hours into the outage. It was a company-wide outage, and while we didn't have an estimated time of recovery, it was a great learning experience for us in terms of crisis management. I would definitely recommend Oracle NetSuite. It's not just about the software, it's about the journey and the learning opportunities it provides. It's a robust system that can truly transform your business operations.
