When I first signed up for Apparel Magic, I was shocked by the annual cost as I had never paid so much for software before. However, after using it for a few months, I had no regrets. Apparel Magic has greatly simplified the management of my small fashion brand, saving me countless hours of work each month. I operate in multiple locations and work with manufacturers worldwide. Before Apparel Magic, I used spreadsheets to manage my inventory and orders, which often led to inventory shortages due to errors. Now, I can easily check if my manufacturers have enough materials for my designs, preventing any manufacturing delays. The software is full of features, including inventory forecasting, inventory management, manufacturing project creation, raw material purchasing, and sales management and commission payments. It has made managing everything much easier. I can now see which orders I lack inventory for and create manufacturing projects accordingly. The inventory report system sends me a weekly report of my stock levels. The reporting feature is incredibly powerful.

Exploring ApparelMagic: A Journey Through Orders and Invoices
After several months of struggling and learning, I believe I've managed to submit orders and invoices with ApparelMagic in the summer of 2022. It's been a challenging journey to become comfortable with navigating orders, invoices, and client account information. For example, I can't create a custom discount for a client who orders in bulk based on the quantity they order. I have to calculate the discount myself and then manually input the custom pricing for each color, style, and size. I found TradeGecko to be more functional in terms of order pricing and shipping information. However, I switched to ApparelMagic because Quickbooks shut down TradeGecko after acquiring it in 2022. The vendor responded to my feedback in November 2023, assuring me that ApparelMagic does allow automatic bulk pricing with Price Breaks and offering their help if I have any questions.

In my two decades of experience with ERP software, I consider ApparelMagic to be quite impressive. No software is flawless and each has its own limitations, but given its price, ApparelMagic has minimal issues. It's a fantastic system that caters to all basic needs. However, its barcode scanning feature is not very robust. Additionally, the Xero Syncing feature is not properly implemented, which means I can't sync information from Xero to ApparelMagic. The product set-up has some limitations that impact B2B online services and the order management also has some limitations, such as the inability to combine or merge orders. I opted for ApparelMagic because the product set-up seemed very good. I switched from Cin7 due to its limitations and unreliability. Moreover, Cin7 is not a fashion exclusive software, so there were limitations with product attributes.

The graphics and charts it produces are helpful for progress presentations and decision making. It updates product availability in real-time and its future planning proposal is one of its best features. ApparelMagic is the best software for managing product design, development, and cost. It records raw materials, production, purchases, customers, and demand, which helps boost profit margins by producing the most in-demand items. The software runs smoothly on all operating systems, including Windows and Mac. However, it is quite expensive. The basic software, their cheapest option, can only be used by two users in one division. But aside from that, everything is great.

Six Months with ApparelMagic: A Game Changer
I've had a positive experience with ApparelMagic. The staff is extremely supportive and the software is user-friendly. I value the convenience of using a web-based software and the rapid access to a knowledge base or the ability to open a ticket. However, I wish there were a few more features. I would like the ability to open different tabs within the software, such as editing a style while creating a purchase order in another tab. I would also like to be able to log in from two different computers, even if they are on the same IP address or wifi. Furthermore, I wish I could add non-style or material items to purchase orders, as we often buy items that don't need to be added as styles. Finally, I would like the ability to add new colors from the purchase orders tab to certain styles. I chose ApparelMagic for its ability to switch over seamlessly while still producing garments and I switched to it because it was easy to learn.
