Decent Choice When No Better Options Exist
My experience with Braintree was quite frustrating. For years, it was the only viable payment solution in our region, forcing us to use it despite wanting a better option. We started using it in early 2019 as it was the only payment solution integrated with our online reservation system. While its availability was appreciated, other aspects of the service were less impressive. The software functioned adequately, but we encountered issues with the security/anti-fraud settings, which were determined by Braintree based on our account activity. A few years ago, an incident involving potential fraudulent activity led us to change our security settings, which remain in place today. This has caused problems for some of our honest customers who have been unable to complete their bookings.
