Maximizing Business Continuity with Fusion Framework System
I find the Fusion Framework System to be highly effective for our business continuity and IT plan management. We've even started using it for our disaster recovery exercise monitoring. At the moment, we're manually monitoring our exercises and proof of concepts, but we intend to implement the ServiceNow connection to help us track, monitor, and delegate tasks once an incident occurs and the plans are executed. We're aiming to utilize the tool to its maximum potential. It provides plan configuration and management, incident management, processes, library procedure group options, a dashboard for reports, and application and component records. We opted for Fusion Framework as it outperformed all other tools we evaluated. We moved away from LDRPS as it was outdated and no longer available, and MetricStream didn't fulfill our requirements. However, one drawback is the inability to remove or delete user accounts.

Ed Brown's Experience with Fusion Framework System: Enhancing Crisis Management and Communication
I appreciate the enhanced crisis management and communication during events offered by the Fusion Framework System. I find the response plans, activated based on the event level, to be an excellent precursor to activating a recovery plan. As an administrator, I value the ease of making changes within my knowledge limits and using Fuel Hours to fill in my knowledge gaps. There were some implementation issues, but Fusion has listened to their clients and improved their process. I presented a complex model to determine the process RTO based on 9 impact categories over time, and they delivered exactly what I asked for. However, I think this model should be a separate object as it used up many of our available custom fields in the process object. We are currently collaborating with Fusion to create a new object or leverage a lesser-used one. I particularly enjoy the incident management object. I believe there should have been standard dashboarding out of the box, as all clients implement a program with a BCP lifecycle and dashboards are commonly used.

High-Priced Software with Numerous Hidden Complications
I believe that starting with the base package of Fusion Framework System and loading your data from there gives you a better chance of success. However, like all software, the details can be tricky. If you need a custom solution, don't choose a package that restricts your customization abilities due to its user interface or third-party limitations like Salesforce. The software is not vaporware and covers a broad range of areas like BC, DR, QA, EM, Risk, etc. However, it's limited by the Salesforce platform and its decisions. It struggles with running large reports and I often have to export data for deep analytics. It lacks tools for measuring system performance or identifying issues, and it doesn't have built-in archiving. Audits require evidence within a past audit window period. The reporting capability with Conga is outdated, and even the new Advanced Reporting is more like Advanced Dashboarding. Executives don't want this.

Reliable Business Continuity Management Solution with Fusion Framework System
Overall, I find Fusion easy to navigate and appreciate its straightforward GUI. I like that its sections are customizable, allowing it to adapt to different operational needs. I value Fusion's good out-of-the-box functionality and the option to customize modules for my business. We've made necessary changes to our BC program using the application. The cost isn't prohibitive, but licensing new users does slow down the new user experience within my organization.
