Unveiling Chempax: A Journey from Implementation to Mastery
The implementation process of Datacor was challenging and I wished for better guidance. We essentially tried to transfer our old system into this one, rather than making significant improvements. However, once we resolved all the issues, the system worked wonderfully and the support team was quick to respond. The software is very user-friendly and somewhat reminds me of an out-of-the-box software. I would suggest reorganizing the modules for quicker editing. I wasn't involved in the decision to switch to Datacor ERP, but the reason for the switch was that our old software was extremely outdated and crashed shortly after implementing Chempax.

Exploring the Pros and Cons of New Chempax Software: A Long-Term User's Perspective
I have been using Chempax for around 20 years. Although the company hasn't been terrible, they have been unjust with licensing to the point where I am quite frustrated. We once unintentionally violated our agreement and instead of notifying us and giving us an opportunity to correct it, they locked us out of our system. The software package is decent for a small to medium-sized company, managing about 80% of our daily manufacturing processes. Everything from formulation to final invoice and shipping can be done in the software, but not all of it is done well. My main issue is that Datacor hasn't updated their underlying database for 10 years. Recently, they've decided that "old" licensing agreements are no longer valid due to added features over the years and have moved customers to "new" licensing. This includes reducing user licenses from 400 to 20 "equivalent new licenses" and doubling or even tripling the cost of these "new" licenses.
