-
Secure and easy to manage: 1Password is a secure tool that simplifies the management of users and access. It enhances internal security protocols and makes password management easier with its user-friendly admin panel
-
Multi-platform compatibility: 1Password is compatible with various popular operating systems and browsers. It can be used on mobile apps, browser extensions, and Windows Desktop app, all of which are constantly synced
-

-
Excellent customer support: 1Password provides excellent customer support, with representatives going above and beyond to assist users with their queries and issues.
Cons from reviewers
-
Lock-in with Family account: 1Password proposes to link the Family account to the work account, creating a lock-in situation. If a user changes jobs and the new company does not use 1Password, transferring the personal vault can be a nuisance
-
Confusion in transferring passwords between vaults: Transferring passwords between vaults can be confusing, particularly for less tech-savvy users. This feature could be made more prominent to improve user experience.
-
Transition issues with 1Password 7: Some users have reported problems transitioning to 1Password 7, particularly if they previously held a lifetime license. This transition seems to be aimed at converting lifetime license holders to a monthly subscription, which has caused some software malfunctions
-
Inconsistent user experience across platforms: While 1Password is available on various platforms, the user experience is not consistent across all of them. For instance, the mobile version has significantly fewer features compared to the browser and desktop app versions
-
Difficulty in setting up 1Password account on desktop: The process of setting up a 1Password account on a desktop to sync and save passwords can be inconvenient. This process requires logging in on the web first, which requires an account, creating a somewhat circular problem

You Won't Know What You're Missing
I've been using 1Password at work for years and have also enjoyed the free family account that comes with it. Now that I'm transitioning to another company, choosing to pay for a personal subscription is an easy decision. Their customer service is unparalleled, the product is well-supported across various platforms, and it even has an API that satisfies tech enthusiasts like me. Unlike its competitors, 1Password has an excellent history in terms of security vulnerabilities and incidents. Don't deceive yourself into believing that Apple and Google's password managers are sufficient. If you're skeptical, try using 1Password for a couple of weeks on a free trial and see for yourself. It's simple to import your passwords from another system.

Trustworthy Tool for Password Management
I find 1Password to be an excellent tool for easy storage, management, and sharing of passwords. It generates strong passwords for various sites and stores them securely. I particularly like the auto-fill function, which simplifies its use. My experience with it has been mostly positive. 1Password creates unpredictable passwords and safely stores them in a secret vault, accessible with a master password. It improves security by ensuring each site has a unique password. It can also securely store payment details, including credit card information, and other personal data. It even allows my content writing team and me to share passwords securely. However, the free version has limited functions. For example, it allows password and personal detail storage but not sharing. The free version doesn't truly showcase what users will get when they subscribe.

Multiple Lifesavers with 1Password
Over two weeks, I had to reinstall 1Password multiple times because I didn't print the emergency kit and my password. Each time, the support team guided me. They taught me how to use 1Password on my Chromebook and helped me save my passwords in a locker. Despite it being vacation time, they responded quickly and without judgment.

Delighted with 1Password Experience
I purchased a 1Password subscription a few years ago due to concerns about password repetition and account security, which led me to choose a password manager. I later upgraded to a family subscription and convinced my wife and parents to use it as well. It has become such a crucial part of my daily routine that I can't envision life without it. 1Password is user-friendly and compatible with various popular operating systems and browsers. However, transferring passwords between vaults can be somewhat confusing for my less tech-savvy family members, so it would be beneficial if this feature was more prominent. I switched to 1Password because I required a more secure dedicated password manager that could sync across multiple devices and applications, not just a browser feature.

1Password: The Gold Standard in Business Password and Access Management
Overall, I'm pleased with what 1Password provides, but for personal use, I lean towards the free tier of BitWarden. I value the user interface design and the superior browser plugins that enable me to log into any website or service without having to retype my password, thanks to my laptop's integrated fingerprint reader. The sync between desktop and mobile devices is smooth, and it's simple to generate new passwords and fill in custom form fields. I'm particularly fond of the sharing feature that lets me share an item with a colleague. However, I'm not keen on the lock-in that 1Password creates by proposing to link the Family account to the work account. If I switch jobs and the new one doesn't use 1Password, I would have to transfer my personal vault, which is always a nuisance. I moved to 1Password because it offers a superior user experience and better sharing options.
