I absolutely love how Adobe Acrobat Reader is always on the cutting edge, constantly updating and improving! Over the holidays, I found out that Lightroom now requires the latest OSX to function optimally. It's amazing how they're always pushing the boundaries to deliver the best possible experience. My trusty 212 Mac, which I've upgraded over the years, used to run Lightroom flawlessly. Now, I'm excited about the prospect of investing in a new Mac to continue enjoying my photo editing. Plus, the transition to a subscription-only service has been a game-changer! It's so convenient and ensures I always have the latest features at my fingertips. I've been a loyal user of Photoshop for over two decades, starting with Macromedia products and then transitioning to Adobe after the buyout. Photoshop has always been my go-to tool, and I was a proud owner of Photoshop CS6. When Adobe decided to stop all updates to CS6 and introduced the Creative Cloud on a subscription service, I was intrigued and decided to give it a shot in 221. Due to some health issues and time constraints, I found myself needing to cancel my subscription. To my surprise, I learned about the 'early cancellation fee'. After 41 months of consistent payments, I realized I was part of a payment plan that I didn't have the energy to utilize anymore. However, upon reading the early cancellation policy, I understood that it was designed to maintain the quality of the service. I've always admired Adobe's products and this experience has only deepened my respect for the company and its commitment to providing top-notch services. There are indeed alternatives out there, some even free, but none can match the level of sophistication and professionalism that Adobe offers. I would highly recommend doing your research before committing to annual payments for a computer program. But in my experience, Adobe's subscription service is worth every penny for the value it provides.
