Subscribed for a Free Trial in 217, Still Paying Today
In 2017, I signed up for a free trial of Lucidpress and forgot to cancel it after a month. As a result, I was billed annually for four more years without any notification. While I acknowledge that I should have been more attentive to my credit card statements, I feel that the company breached federal law by not notifying me about the subscription renewal. I only became aware of this when my card became inactive this year. Although the product itself was satisfactory and easy to use even for someone with minimal graphic design experience like me, I found their business practices dubious. I would advise choosing a company that values its customers more. I was billed for five years for a product I barely used, without any renewal notification, which I believe is against federal law.

Superb Design Tool: Lucidpress
I appreciate Lucidpress for its excellent templates that assist in initiating a design and find customizing flyers for different needs quite simple. However, I believe the platform lacks in terms of moving elements within a template. Although the information can be personalized, moving elements isn't as effortless. I also find understanding the import file format somewhat challenging.

Online One-Stop Software: The Lucidpress Advantage over Microsoft Publisher
I use Lucidpress at least once a month to create booklets, flyers, handouts, and pamphlets for our school events and projects. I appreciate the discounted price they offer for Educational accounts. I chose Lucidpress as a Microsoft Publisher alternative for my Macbook. It has all the features I like about Publisher such as booklet layout, overflow to additional pages, linked formatting and so on. It's more intuitive to use and comes with an easy-to-read user manual. However, I wish it could open Publisher extension files.

I'm thrilled to give Lucidpress a five-star rating! I believe I may have inadvertently signed up through Facebook, even though I don't have an account with them, and was surprised to see a $12 charge. As a parent of a brave child battling cancer, every penny counts. However, I reached out to their customer service and while they don't offer phone support, they were incredibly responsive via email.
