Streamlining Operations with Clever Cloud: A Game Changer for Developers
Clever Cloud has automated our operational needs, saving us the need to hire extra staff and manually maintain infrastructure. It's a product designed by developers for developers and it's fantastic to use. It has allowed us to get rid of many unnecessary systems, like specific machines for deployment, slow pipelines, and high AWS data transfer costs. However, the user interface can be slow and sometimes doesn't load, requiring some workarounds to integrate with the Clever Cloud build. We chose Clever Cloud because it's a French company that addressed our problems, offered a good price, and has an excellent support team. We switched to Clever Cloud due to issues with machines failing, a difficult-to-maintain and evolve legacy stack on Docker Swarm, and high AWS costs that weren't justified.

Clever-cloud is the simplest PaaS I've utilized for deploying any application or language. It provides easy configuration from the UI and a robust CLI for ci/cd processes. It offers excellent pricing and top-notch support. However, I find it lacking a strong metrics dashboard and I wish for a more user-friendly log inspector.

I've saved many days by not having to write deployment scripts and maintain workflows thanks to Clever Cloud. I appreciate the simplicity of the deployment process and the high-quality documentation. However, I find it lacking in options for deploying software in a 'dev' environment, particularly for PHP. I wish I could configure my deployment for a target environment like prod, dev, or test. The main issue with PHP is that the deployment process installs Composer dependencies without the --dev flag by default. It would be beneficial to configure this through an ENV var in the console. I chose Clever Cloud because it's French, they are experts in PaaS, their conference talks are very informative, and their product perfectly meets my needs.

Unparalleled PaaS Experience with Clever Cloud
I find Clever Cloud to be excellent and easy to implement. It doesn't need any custom code and uses open source resources. However, I think the GUI could be enhanced and the API documentation could be improved. I chose Clever Cloud for its cost and quality, which were also the reasons I switched to it.
