      Consider Switching to Sematext Cloud from Other Logging Aggregations

      I recently transitioned from ELK to Sematext Cloud and so far, I'm quite pleased, although I need more time for a complete assessment. Sematext was a delightful surprise as it's very user-friendly and easy to integrate. The web UI is intuitive and the query syntax is simple, even for those without a technical background. Unlike ELK, Sematext is a true cloud service, so I don't have to worry about losing logs. The only drawback I've encountered so far is the slightly high price. I switched to Sematext because ELK was challenging to install and maintain, and its UI and query were difficult to use. In November 2020, I received a response from the vendor suggesting that I contact their team via live chat for any questions about managing pricing and optimizing costs.

It also assisted me in predicting when the load would be high or low. The process of identifying memory leaks for JVM was simplified when I sought insights about GC and JVM pool. The software provides comprehensive reports and the installation of an agent is swift and simple. The user interface is highly intuitive and the Sematext team offers excellent support. However, there is a deficiency in documentation for older agents and Ubuntu versions below 16. I also encountered an agent crash, the cause of which remains unknown. I primarily chose Sematext Cloud for its JVM monitoring capabilities and the outstanding support I received while setting it up on my production instances. I switched to Sematext Cloud because I desired detailed reports of each metric over a time period, and for JVM monitoring, I couldn't find a better option.
