Major Time-Saver, Yet Allocate Time for Final Transcription Edits
I now utilize my own database within Amberscript for editing rather than using spotting lists. It works perfectly. The convenience of having the audio player linked with the transcription is great when working alongside the editor. I value the feature that allows setting a starting timecode, enabling it to synchronize with the original timeline in the editing software. Despite the final editing still needing substantial work, overall, it's a significant enhancement.

Amberscript: Essential Tool for Interviewers and Editors
I find Amberscript easy to set up and use, and I am impressed with its high quality. It transcribes spoken interviews quickly, and its Dutch AI text-to-speech function is the best I've come across. It's efficient enough to save me a significant amount of time. At the moment, I can't think of any downsides, although its integration with other software could be better. However, uploading individual files to Amberscript works well for me, particularly when I compare it to the time I used to spend transcribing everything myself. I switched to Amberscript because its Dutch translation is superior.

Exploring Amberscript: A User's Experience
I had the opportunity to use the recording feature on the Amberscript app and it was quite an experience! Although I initially faced some challenges downloading the audio, I was thrilled to invest €2 for a transcript. I'm eagerly awaiting the transcript and I'm confident that the minor hiccup with the audio will be resolved soon. I'm excited to continue using Amberscript and can't wait to see the transcript of my audio!

Superior Alternatives Available
I prefer Dovetail over Amberscript due to its better transcription performance, clear pricing, and more efficient customer service. Although Amberscript was fast to start and upload a file, it had the poorest transcription performance among the 4 platforms I tested. I also encountered problems with their pricing. I opted for the monthly plan to test it, but was informed it could only be cancelled after 3 months, which wasn't mentioned on their pricing page. Moreover, I found their customer service to be one of the worst I've ever dealt with.

Amberscript: The Pinnacle of Audio to Text Transcription Software
I've been on a journey with audio to text transcription software for years, always keeping an eye on its evolution and even investing in programs that didn't quite hit the mark. I've always had faith that one day, it would reach its full potential. And now, it has! With Amberscript, I find myself doing minimal editing, and it's rarely because of a mis-transcribed word. This is even the case with audio that's over a decade old! Most of my editing is simply to tailor the punctuation to my unique speaking style, not to correct the content. I couldn't be happier with this software. Without a doubt, this is the best transcription experience I've ever had.

Such a Time Saver!
I decided to use Amberscript to transcribe my interviews for my master's thesis and it saved me so much time! The automatic transcription isn't perfect due to overlapping speech and accents, but with a quick 3-minute review for minor corrections, it's definitely worth it to save several hours of manual transcription. I highly recommend it!

Appears Easy, But DOES NOT FUNCTION!!!!
I find Amberscript to be a great tool to start with as uploading is really simple. However, I have issues when starting to transcribe as additional speakers are added even when there's only one, which messes up the whole process and is really annoying. This happens almost every time. Also, when I try to convert it into subtitles, sometimes the subtitles completely disappear or get stuck at some point, forcing me to redo everything. This has happened twice.
